The papers
Paper 1
Theory, Drawing and Design
The verified Metalwork theory paper offers a choice of workshop questions in Section A and compulsory drawing and design tasks in Section B. Answers use explanations, calculations, annotated sketches and orthographic views.
Paper 2
Practical Test
Candidates manufacture and assemble a metal article from supplied stock and working drawings. These revision questions rehearse planning, fitting, inspection and safe methods in writing rather than replacing supervised practical work.
